I have tried to be as accurate as possible with all of the information on this web sight. I would appreciate any mistakes or corrections being pointed out to me.
Back in 2003 I opened up a box of picture's that had been stored away for almost 30 years. A few of them had either a first or last name written on the back. I could recognize the faces, but the names came a little harder. After all these years of putting Vietnam in storage somewhere in the back recesses of my mind, I realized how important that time in my life was. The problem now was how fuzzy everything was. Some of the Fire Support Base name’s came back to me, but not where they were located. I was not even sure where we were over there other than the III Corp Area. I remembered that we arrived in Vietnam at Cam Ranh Bay and then flew to Tan Son Nhut Air Base. From there we went by convoy to Bien Hoa and the 1st Cavalry Division. All the location’s after that were forgotten. Then one day I typed “Vietnam 1st Cavalry Division” in the [Search the Web] box in Internet Explorer. WOW ! This internet stuff is awesome.
